Job Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract
Email: hello@themakehaus.com.au
Looking for someone to craft our Incredible Make Haus worlds.
Do you have the ability to produce incredible projects? Push the creative boundaries and develop concepts that define our clients. You bring bold, original ideas to life—crafting experiences that challenge expectations and redefine spaces across events, activations, and interiors.
Who We Are
The Make Haus is a collective of dreamers, designers, and directors who create concepts that engage and inspire. We are confident, daring, and highly skilled creatives who specialise in original ideation. We guide individuals and brands in shaping special spaces and moments through floristry, interior design, and custom object and set design. We don’t outsource concept creation, instead offering a comprehensive client journey, from intention to execution.
Founded on a desire to heighten appreciation of everything around us through design, making, styling, and florals, we seek to create dreamscapes from worlds that don’t yet exist, elevating unseen fantasies into the realm of reality.
The Role: Creative Production Designer
As our Creative Production Lead, you’ll take the helm in developing and executing fresh, boundary-pushing concepts across events, activations, and styling. Collaborating closely with our Creative Director, you’ll drive new ideas from vision to reality, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully designed and flawlessly executed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the creative production process—crafting mood boards, sourcing incredible pieces, and making sure every detail is on point.
- Work at the forefront of concept creation, generating original, trend-defining ideas that set MAKE HAUS apart.
- Help position MAKE HAUS as a go-to creative production house, delivering next-level projects.
- Conceptualise and execute creative, custom solutions that fit the project, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers, fabricators, and artists to bring unique, one-of-a-kind designs to life.
- Oversee the design and execution of events, styling, and activations, ensuring they are fresh, innovative, and seamlessly executed.
- Own your projects from start to finish, staying cool under pressure and solving challenges with agility and precision.
- Source rare, hard-to-find objects that elevate our activations beyond the expected.
- Develop and implement new processes and systems to enhance efficiency and workflow.
- Support the growth and refinement of our interiors business, contributing to strategic direction and execution.
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and develop smart processes for working efficiently.
- Love spreadsheets and use them to optimise planning, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Handle client management, onboarding, and account management with a keen focus on delivering exceptional experiences.
- Research and secure unique, under-the-radar venues and transform them into stunning event spaces.
- Create detailed specification sheets for makers and manufacturers to build from, ensuring precise execution of creative visions.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple locations and adapting to varied settings—this is far from a desk-only job!
- Forecast trends, staying ahead of the curve and constantly pushing forward with fresh, innovative ideas.
- Work closely with team members, collaborating effectively and reporting directly to the Director.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in creative production, styling, and brand activations.
